Boston Veterans Parade (November 5)

This year’s Veterans Parade, which starts at the corners of Boylston and Tremont Streets, starts at 12 p.m. and kicks off Veterans Month. The parade, made up of vets, servicemembers and members of civic organizations, continues through the city until 3 p.m., where it concludes at City Hall Plaza. You’ll see a fantastic assortment of ROTC groups, marching bands, veterans service organizations, military units, the Boston Police Pipes and Drum Corps, and so much more.

Six The Musical (November 9 through January 15, 2023)

You don’t want to miss Six The Musical, which is coming to the Emerson Colonial Theatre in November. This Tony Award-nominated show tells the story of six wives of Henry VIII – Anne Boleyn, Catherine of Aragon, Jane Seymour, Anne of Cleves, Katherine Howard and Catherine Parr – who come together to tell their tales, sing their songs and rewrite history.

Boston International Antiquarian Book Fair (November 11 through November 13)

The Boston International Antiquarian Book Fair is the perfect event for book lovers. This three-day fair features more than 200 dealers from around the world, selling everything from rare books and manuscripts to maps, ephemera and more. There will also be a number of special events, including lectures, book signings and more.

Turkey Trot (November 19)

The Boston Turkey Trot is one of the largest Thanksgiving Day races in the country. This year’s race will take place on November 19, starting and finishing in Copley Square. Choose from the 5-mile race, the 2-mile family fun walk/run or the 1-mile kids’ race. Proceeds from the event will go to support the Boston Medical Center.

Cirque du Soleil: ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas (November 25 through December 11)

Cirque du Soleil is bringing its holiday show, ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas, to Boston for a limited run in November and December. This family-friendly show tells the story of Santa’s search for the perfect Christmas present. It’s a delight for all ages.

Boston Ballet: The Nutcracker (November 25 through December 31)

The Boston Ballet will be performing The Nutcracker at the Boston Opera House from November 25 through December 31. This classic holiday ballet, set to Tchaikovsky’s iconic score, tells the story of a young girl who is transported to a magical world of toys and sweets.

Tree Lighting Ceremonies in Boston

There are a number of tree lighting ceremonies taking place in Boston in November.

Tree Lighting at Copley Square (November 21)

The tree lighting ceremony at Copley Square will take place on November 21 at 6 p.m. This annual event features live music, performances by local groups, carolers, Santa Claus and more.

Macy’s Downtown Crossing Tree Lighting (November 23)

The Macy’s Downtown Crossing Tree Lighting will take place on November 23 at 6 p.m. This year’s event will feature performances by the Boston Children’s Chorus, the Boston Pops Gospel Choir and more. There will also be a special appearance by Santa Claus.

Tree Lighting at the Massachusetts State House (November 28)

The tree lighting ceremony at the Massachusetts State House will take place on November 28 at 5 p.m. This year’s event will feature live music, performances by local groups, carolers and more.

Tree Lighting at Faneuil Hall Marketplace (November 29)

The tree lighting ceremony at Faneuil Hall Marketplace will take place on November 29 at 6 p.m. This annual event features live music, performances by local groups, and a special visit from Santa.

Note: The tree lighting at Boston Common takes place on December 8 this year.
